You should all be happy your parents sent you to St. Nicks, back then it was a private catholic school, not like St Heds or SFX. You learned a different culture, if you were paying attention I am sure you remeber how the ukie dances went and what you had to do every time one of the nuns walked into your classroom....hahaha...those where the fun days...not worrying about terriorist and all that we worry about today.

The riot I remember was in the 80's (I wasnt born til 71) It was at 25th and Parrish and Kenny Shelstack was there fighting with some guy that was called "Roach" I remeber it because I lived on Taylor and Parrish and watched the entire fight from my window. I think it was over them bothering MR Hughs from Ringgold St. But I am not sure on that part.

Martha's was across the street from DeLuca's, and the building was painted green. I couldn't help but laugh at Roscoe's nick name for Martha, that is what I remember calling her too. We even had a song to go with it.

Thank you rubberband Man for the compliment. I think I might know who you are. If I am thinking of the same person you have red hair. Oh and Fairmount 4 Life, I also went to the camp at 25th and Brown Street for a little while when I was a kid and from what I remember it was pretty good. I don't remember Martha's but I do remember De Luca's and Tom's. I use to hang out with the Daugther Tracy and my ex use to hang out with the son Billy. I forget their last name. I think it was McGarrett. If anyone remembers it that last name is correct let me know. I also remember riots but the riots I remember where from over 21st Street when the older kids that hang on Beechwood Street would chase the blacks back to Corithian Avenue. That's when all are parents where like Archie Bunker and we were raised to be bias about race.
