I am wondering what families are still left in FMT. I know my Uncle Bill is still on Stillman St.. Some of the Nobles and Rounds are there... Is Theresa Pettit and the Hessions still on 25th ?? I know Dubbie Dubinski and his wife are still on Taylor St visited them last yr when home... But who else is left.. I did move back to FMT for a bit, but the rent was crazy for what I was getting and the parking was worse.. But I always was there.. Hanging at Connies and Krupas then Jumbos.. Played Softball in Fmt til it ended for the women... Met my Kiwi husband in FMT. Can all the Fmt Families who were able to stick it out post... Maybe one day I will hit the lottery and move back. I have this single house on a big lot and the smell of cows in the morning.. I hate it. I want to smell the Pizza truck in the summer wind. Watch the kids hang on 25th st and know it will be another safe night. Go under the "plug at 1am cause it is just hot to sleep. I am a 70's 80's Fairmount kid. I must say they were the best and some of the worse yrs of my life but I miss them and the people good and bad. "Yous guys helped make a neighborhood great.... Thank you OH I so have to say Maxine store was the store to beat all stores, the one on 25th and also Judson..

To all those who want to know why i care so much about what is going on in Fairmount, is because I still have family and friends who live there. i came to this site just like the rest to meet up with old friends and talk about the good old times. the hicks that you are referring too are mostly all from Philly, so how hick can they be, seriously. your whinning about how terrible things are there, if your not happy , then you should move or fix the problem. Happy Halloween!!!!

Are you out of your mind? Donna Quinn was gorgeous. I don't know how she looks now, but back then she was the most beautiful girl in all of Philadelphia.

in all Phila -you had to get of the neighborhood more often, but then again i'm sure you were really smitten by her
