Ward Memorial Park

A small, yet meaningful, inter-city park was created from a corner lot at 24th and Aspen Streets. When the Ward family lost a son in the Vietnam War, the local veterans organizations and the neighborhood residents helped the family create a lasting tribute to all of the soldiers who died in that tragic war.

Each Memorial Day, a Mass of Remembrance is celebrated here at the memorial.
